Ludwig Mies van der Rohe

Vintage BRNO Chair in Original Knoll Vinyl

The BRNO chair is an icon of 20th century designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Lilly Reich in 1930.  It has remained in production ever since. The steel frame is a single piece bent into a C shape to create a cantilever with a newly upholstered seat and back in black velvet. The tubular steel version like this one is comfortable yet still lean and sprightly making it easy to move around so often used as a desk or dining chair. Original vinyl shows signs of wear, please see photos and inquire for more details.

Buyer Notes

The deepest black velvet we could find matches contrasts so well with the chrome of the chair to create this classic. This would be a fantastic desk chair or as a pair flanking a coffee table.
