Ludwig Mies van der Rohe

BRNO Flat Bar Chair in Caramel

$950

This classic of modern design was conceived of by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Lilly Reich in 1930 for the legendary Tugendhat house in Brno, Czech republic.  It had remained in production ever since and reflects all the virtues of Bauhaus design, in its clean lines, smooth surface and geometric shape.  The flat bar steel is a single piece bent to create a cantilever chair with seat, back and arm rests that we reupholstered in antique green velvet.  This solid and heavy set chair has been a constant and relevant object in art and culture since its creation making it a true classic.
